From the #archives probably late 1980s, Evanston still shared Chicago's 312 area code (how quaint) # I designed and printed these cards for my friend Sally on my 10x15 Chandler and Price. # All drawn by hand, with pens and pointed brush, the calligraphic lettering was pasted up directly while the astro glyphs were reduced on the photostat camera. # The finished art was marked on the overlay for separations, and I sent it to get mag cuts engraved (magnesium, photo engraving). Last pic shows evidence of the crumbling mortar in the cellar! # These archives are now in our storage unit, awaiting a new studio with room for my ("new") flat files, eight cabinets worth!
