Fushimi. His husband came to mind immediately and a fond smile curves up the corners of his mouth at the most recent memory he had of them together. His husband, every time he thinks about saying the words it fills his heart with so much joy. It makes perfect sense to him, in a way that the puzzles fit together perfectly and nothing else had made sense until the moment they’d gotten married, that he’d been accepted into the family.

for a moment, the words are mulled over before his head cants to one side. what the tengu said was utter truth. fingers slid back, touching the scar tissue on his shoulder. fushimi’s teeth sank there every time they made sex and it never completely healed. but it was a scar that reminded him of the beautiful creature who loved him. it didn’t just bring the memory of sex, but of love and endless adoration. there were plenty of scars littering the feline’s frame, but that one bought him the most contentment. lips curl into a faint grin, nodding slowly.  ❝ Some scars remind you of your purpose. ❞
