Henry's chest hurt. It throbbed with a physical pain due to lack of air. But deep inside a stronger pulsation resonated through, past his lungs and hands, rattling into his ribs. His eyes drenched his face as he finally came to terms with his situation. They were in his head. He had been probed And he know worked for them. He couldn't breathe properly. He found out when he woke up. He thought everything was fine. He went to the bathroom, washed his mouth and face. Only then did he see the small raised bump under his flesh on his neck. It was small, but suspicious. He touched it and felt something hard underneath. He pushed down, curious as to what it was. He was expecting just to feel skin. Sometime bumps appear on people. It's normal. But instead he got a buzzing in his head like a disconnected phone. Then a voice boomed in. "Henry Lau. Field agent. Wi-com operational." It made him stumble back wards, finger still on top of the lump. He clicked it again, the same message repeating itself. He realized then that he had been probed and forced to work under the government. He knew he couldn't run or hide. His years of being under the radar were over. He had been found out and turned into one of them. And he hated it. He was so afraid of them. His every thought lurked with fear of them finding him. And now he was their prisoner. Forced to do their dirty work. Hunt down others, like himself, and make them suffer as he did. He wanted to scream and scratch out the Wi-com, kill himself, strip off his flesh, but to what point? They were powerful in all aspects. If he took it out, they'd replace him, if he jumped, they'd catch him, if he tried anything, they'd be there to stop it. Knowing that he was now an employee for them made him hurt so deeply inside, but he couldn't tell a soul. He couldn't get help. He was stuck. Forever. The first few days were okay. He still had the sensation of pure ire settle into his bones, but the Wi-com rarely activated. It only rang in to ask him to get supplies. Rope, scalpels, pins, etc. But Saturday morning was different. A static-y message rung through at eight in the morning, waking him up with a start. "Dirty. Non-believers. Dirty. Deserve to die. Kill them all. Unpure. Tainted. Disgusting. Against the rules. Cause of riots and poverty. Need to be eradicated. Your mission is to kill them. Many are here. Kill them. Henry Lau. Field Agent. Kill them." The gruff voice growled. Whoever spoke the message meant business. The tone was enough to scare him into compliance. He sat up straight, holding his head, eyes scrunched close. He knew what he had to do. He couldn't deny or say no or disappear. He had to agree and kill the bad people. Even if to him, they weren't bad. He was apart of the government, and the people he considered to be his friends, were now bad. The message, alongside other propaganda, kept repeating in his head as he gathered bits of rope, typing them together. The same guttural voice continued to speak as he set up the tape and scalpels on his bedside. The same words kept repeating the selves as he waited outside his room. Waiting for the disgusting, good for nothing, scum of a person to walk by and complete his task. He stood outside his room for a long time, scalpel in hand, stone still only reanimating when someone walked by. He didn't care to see the persons face. He just needed a body. And he got one. While their back was turned to his, he shoved the instrument into their back and while they were distracted by the sudden pain, shoved them into his room, locking the door behind him.
