It's not getting isekaied that's the problem.
It's getting back.
I had this crazy dream where I was watching AWE and the whole Locker sequence had strong horror vibes. Even told a friend about it in detail (in the dream). Can't remember much now, but the scene was almost exactly the same, except with none of Jack's clone shenanigans.
When Barbossa's crew landed on its shore, everything was dark, and Will commented "There's no one here," to which Barbossa replied "...Yet," and laid a hand on his sword.
It cut to Jack on the Black Pearl stranded in that desert - also dark everywhere - and terrified at something. Ominous winds blew for a storm that never came, and we could see a silhouette in the shadows of the ship that looked just like Jack.
For a moment lightning struck, revealing something about that silhouette, which terrified the real Jack so much that he scooted backwards until his back was pushed up against the railings.
Not an exact recreation, but the vibes were something like this.
