wooly after being trapped in the tapes alone after rebecca/amanda got freed
Ugly
Hey so like...why is no one talking about the fact Rebecca has/had psychic abilities and that's likely why Hameln specifically targeted her??? In the final tape Amanda says her birthday gifts were all exactly what she imagined they might be, it made her a little scared, and she never told anyone about it, not even her dad. Not only that, but the Amanda demon entity was a tulpa she manifested herself while in the pod!
That long speech in the cult room about kids imagination and pulling them out of the light or whatever is probably also connected in some way, but I don't remember enough of it to make said connection.
Anyways the point is Rebecca had supernatural abilities outside of the show world, before Hameln even came into the picture, and I haven't seen anyone talking about it yet! Please I'm begging you, I need someone, anyone smarter than me to write an analysis or just talk about this point in general! Please!!!
ATA 3 SPOILERS
"I miss you guys."
Honestly, I think Rebecca would miss Jordan and Marcus, at least a little. In Marcus's case, shes known him for years and they have had happy moments together, so even after everything, I think she'd miss him at least a little bit. And then it's obvious she'd miss Jordan, especially after watching her only REAL friend die.
Amanda the adventurer fans, stop what you're doing and look at this.
That is all.
I cried at the end… I'm not kidding
Something that Amanda the Adventurer directly represents that I do not see talked enough NEARLY enough is how much people do NOT listen to abused children calling for help in real life. How much abused children are villainized and ignored by everyone else and forced to suffer alone with their abusers. No matter how much Amanda called for help people didn't listen, in fact, the fandom reaction after the first game to villainize her cries for help and attempts to protect herself show just how prevalent this is in the real world, and it is especially bad for Black children and other children of color due to racism and stereotyping. The abused kid is almost always seen as the "bad kid" especially if they do not show the symptoms of their trauma in a way that is digestible to adults. And that's wrong. As someone who has witnessed this happening to friends and children I knew and just in discussions of child abuse in general since I was a small child it is so GOOD that we have a game that directly calls this out.
LISTEN TO CHILDREN.
