Yesss, see - it works, it really works? Usually I see Jaskier as Puck, but something about the slightly hopeless performer trapped in a world of magic and mystery he doesn’t quite understand really gets to me, you know?

So Geralt would be Oberon, and Yen would be Titania, right? The last production of Dream I saw swapped their lines (so Oberon falls in love with Bottom instead), and I adored it to the extent that I regularly forget its “supposed” to be the other way around.

Puck is difficult - Puck could be Ciri, all chaos and magic, or I could combine canons and Puck could be Dandelion, and a little shit.

I feel like MSND is so sprawling that it’s difficult to make a true AU from because what about the humans? What about the lovers lost in the forest, or Theseus and Hippolyta?

So perhaps the crux isn’t the lost lovers, and I can just... ignore them... and the actual story is magic and love and trickery. Perhaps Jaskier - who is brilliant and beautiful - fears that his peers really do think he’s nothing more than an ass. When it comes to pass, it feels natural, feels like this is something he deserves.

And perhaps because of that he feels he doesn’t deserve the adoration of this strange, powerful fairy king - while he wants it, oh gods how he wants it - and when it’s revealed that it was all nothing more than a spell...

Mom, I'm going to visit Auschwitz and I don't want just visit it like it's some tourist attraction. Do you know any jewish/nordic prays or runes for honoring the dead/showing respect?

I do not, no, I’ve never been much for runes.

And my extent of Jewish tradition is limited to my father placing a rock on the headstone of his grandmother whenever we’d visit her grave (I believe it’s meant to show respect and let them know you visited) but never anything more complex than that. But you’d likely get into trouble if you tried to do anything like that there. The grounds are now considered to be a protected historical site, and moving anything or leaving anything behind is strictly prohibited.

Personally, when I have visited such places I’ve always felt any outward gesture to be redundant. Partly through being overwhelmed by the grief of the place, but also because sometimes it’s enough to simply carry respect and love in your heart. That’s the kind of prayer that transcends all religions.

Hi! This might be a stupid ask but what is so bad about stretched succulents? I keep seeing plant blogs talking about it.

Stretching is just a sign that the succulent needs more light than it’s getting. Sometimes that means moving the plant closer to a window, moving it to a window that gets stronger sunlight (south windows are preferred), investing in a grow light, or just waiting out the winter until the plant can go outside in direct sun. Other signs your succulent may not be getting enough light includes pale color, loss of bright color, leaves that curl downward, very waxy leaves when they used to be powdery, etc

Beyond just aesthetics, not getting enough light is stressful to a plant and stress can make it easier for the plant to develop issues like root rot or even more likely to be heavily affected by pest issues. Lower lighting in general makes it way easier to accidentally overwater a plant.

A bit of stretching is inevitable in certain plants if you keep them indoors in normal lighting over the winter or year-round. Some people are ok with the stretching and other folks are not. I’m in the not ok with the stretching camp, it makes me sad lol if I have a plant I can’t quite keep looking nice over the winter, it has to go
