I've recently come up with a dilemma, and hoped you'd be able to help. So, Danny Lawrence: Hufflepuff or Gryffindor?

Gryffindor. Hands down. Danny’s a Gryffindor. I can understand why people want to put her in Hufflepuff, I can. But she’s a Gryffindor to me. It bothers me immensely when people say “oh, she’s not a Gryffindor because Gryffindors are stupid about things and Danny’s not.” Excuse me. First of all, Gryffindors aren’t stupid. They’re reckless, yes. But not stupid. Not in any way. Second of all, Hermione and McGonagall were both Gryffindors. So shut it. Danny’s extremely loyal, which most people consider to be a Hufflepuff trait but it’s not solely is it? Danny’s smart and resourceful and brave and noble and hot-headed and can be immature but protects those that she cares about without question and she does the right thing (as proven by her coming to Laura’s aid despite her “don’t call me again”, he teaming up with Carmilla immediately and her bringing carmilla back to Laura.) People argue that she doesn’t go looking for trouble just because she’s cautious but hello, summer society is arguably a bunch of monster hunters and just because she’s worried about Laura getting in over her head doesn’t mean she’s not involved.

tl;dr I headcanon Danny as a Gryffindor and I will fight anyone who tries to tell me I can’t.

(Honestly, you can put her in whatever house you like, it’s your headcanon.)
