Not Again. (Drabble)
“I can’t just fucking pick up and move again! Do you know how hard it was to do this the first time?! Now you think that doing it again will be best?!” Eloise yelled across her living room as she grabbed a pillow off the couch and threw it in the man’s general direction. He gasped as he raised an eyebrow “Now was that really necessary Ellie?” His voice was calm and soothing. She was surprised he wasn’t more angry that she was running rampant. “I didn’t say it was a good idea. I said that pieces of your past are starting to show, and I hate to break it to you but you would not look good in orange.” She twisted her lips and squinted in his direction. Eloise hated admitting when she was wrong. “I don’t think anyone even knows what I did. Even if they had a sneaking suspicion, how does that hurt me here?”
Sebastian took a seat on the couch and sat back, one eyebrow raised. “Eloise. Think about it. You’ll lose your scholarships. Then after that will come your home. Not to mention losing your friends along the way.” She shook his head, letting a laugh escape the back of her throat. “Jokes on you. My daddy won’t let that happen.” She began to pace back and forth as her thoughts began to take over her entire mind. Were people actually starting to find out about what really happened? Were they questioning her entire reason for being in NYC? She had more questions than answers and it was making her mind spin further out of control. She stopped her pacing and turned to face Sebastian who was now just staring at her. “What am I supposed to do here?! I don’t know why but the thought of all this coming to light is really fucking me up!” The male sat back and shrugged. “Better start packing.” Eloise sighed as she grabbed another pillow and threw it, hitting him square in the head. “No. Fuck you!”
She turned around to head to the stairs, immediately stopped by her assistant Max. “Uhm Ellie….who are you talking too?” She immediately raised an eyebrow as she pointed back to the chair. “I was talking to Sebastian. He’s right the-” she turned to face the chair that was now empty. The pillows she once threw were now taking up the space. Her heart suddenly dropped. “There is no one there…..” her voice was now soft and laced with confusion. She turned to look back at Max, the pleading look in her eyes. “Look, I swear it wasn’t serious. I don’t need to go any-” she was quickly cut off by the raise of her assistant's hand. “Eloise. I won’t say anything. But you need to start taking your meds again. You have a week or I’m taking you back to the hospital myself. Now let’s get you into bed.” She wanted nothing more but to argue however she chose not to tonight. She couldn’t remember the last time she had gotten a good night's rest. Hell she couldn’t remember the last time she actually slept. “Okay fine. I’d love some tea though.” Max nodded his head and helped Ellie up the stairs. “After you get into bed, I’ll make you some tea.” She smiled weakly as she fell into bed, falling asleep the moment her head hit the pillow.
