Have you read any of the Dresden Files by Jim Butcher? It has become my favorite series. Idk if you’re into urban fantasy; it really wasn’t my thing in concept,but I’d heard a lot about the series and remembered the sci-fi channel adaptation (not so great)but decided to give it a go. I think you’d definitely like it; the protagonist is a Wizard Private Investigator. Most of the fans say you can skip book 1-2 but being a purist I’d say just read them :X but book 3 i literally could not put down.
I haven’t, but I have read two of Charlie Huston’s Joe Pitt novels, and I understand that they are similar, in terms of urban fantasy.
