Atari 2600 (apparently the third Atari system) 1980-1982

I have two Atari systems, and they both work but some of the games don't seem to load. Pressing the red button on the joystick doesn't do much. My friend and I wanted a good few minutes to see if a couple of the games would do anything. Some of them did, some of them just stayed on the first screen it seemed.

Any advice? Or help? I'm not sure if it's normal to take 5 minutes to load of if the games don't work.
