A Thief Among the Trees Review

A Thief Among the Trees by Sabaa Tahir, Nicole Andelfinger & Sonia Liao, is a 144 page Fantasy Graphic Novel. It's the first part in the prequel Trilogy. I've also read the original series and am excited for the finale of the Quartet, which is scheduled for release in Decemeber 2020. 13 Year old Elias, Helene and Tavi are fivers of the Blackcliff Academy. They're send to a military base on Isle South to steal some poison, when they're greeted by unexpected enemies - other recruits. As the true horror of the Martial Rule is revealed, they must make choices to survive.

I rate this book 5/5 stars, because it's everything I need.

During this time I've been in a horrible reading slump. So far it's everything I've read during the month of August and I read it in a day. I do think it's a really cool addition to the world that's created in the Ember Quartet. It gives us another view into the world of the Blackcliff Academy and the Martial Empire and its rule. It also briefly establishes why our 3 main characters feel the way they do about the current society that they live in.

It's a fun addition of to the series and if your a fan of the Quartet I think it's a must read!
