A hug? From him?! Nobody ever asked him for a hug! Well, his father did. He would be very gentle and hold Jiminy on his arm to cradle him with his hand. Nobody seemed to want a hug from him due to how uncomfortable two little wooden arms felt. He held a finger to himself and silently gasped. Him? Truly? A hug? “Y-yes...!” He fumbled for a moment and wasted no time in complying with a somewhat awkward but sincere hug for Betty. He didn’t squeeze too tight- he was too frightened she’d call him weird and tell him to go away when the hug wasn’t right... But it felt so nice. He just wanted to feel normal. This felt so normal. This felt so nice... “You’re...sure this is okay? You’re sure I hug okay...”

As soon as he realizes he’s been duped, he lets out an embarrassed and annoyed groan.
