My experience with Wheel of Time character names is that a lot of them are pretty straightforward historical/mythological references, so they’re easy enough to ‘get’ if you have a solid grounding in that kind of thing.

But the ones I initially look at and go ‘yeah idk what that weird thing is supposed to reference’? Those all end up being Horribly Apropos Puns.
