"Hello, Athena here. Ava, do you need any more weapons or anything? did you manage to deal with the attack. " Athena's familiar voice sounded from the speaker inside Ava's sub. she sounded more worried then usual "or did you at least get out of danger, considering your in the sub again?" Athena felt bad that she's contacted Ava so many times, but she was truly worried for her safety. and she couldn't bear the thought of not making sure and missing something and Ava dying as a result. Athena has enough blood on her paws as is. - @ask-athena-undertale

The unfortunate timing of this message was in the middle of her meeting with Ianus.

Her eyes darted between her captors, and back into the sub. "Oh.. uh- thank you Athena. I'm still alive, so-" Ava died a little inside.

Athena walked around the spaceship until she found Ava, and said

" hey Ava, I, uh, just wanted to check on you. Some... Voices? Told me you weren't doing so well. That, alongside what happened earlier. With the other version of you"

Ava looks a little different, stronger and.. a little more masculine. Her voice is different as well, it's deeper, for some reason. "You're hearing them too?! I thought Biter did, but apparently not..."

Ava shifts on her feet uncomfortably. "I'm sorry for snapping earlier... There was a lot going on."

off in the distance of the ship, but slowly coming closer, Ava hears the click clack of Athena's claws. and a few moments later, Ava sees a tail in the corner of her vision. @ask-athena-undertale

"You should.. I mean. I don't know. I don't know if I actually have a choice, in the matter. I can't remember-" Ava is trying to focus on what was said before.

Ava blinks. She's distracted again. "Athena?"

Ava shifts uncomfortably on her feet at Archivist's comment on the crew. "They're.. not bad." A faint memory of her time on the floating island said otherwise.

"Athena, could you please.. find them? I- I have been entirely alone, here..." Of course it would be a hard shift for her! She's been living close to someone, and an entire crew for her entire life. Now she's been on an empty ship...

A little body morphing was simply a suggestion. I am listening to you wants after all.

Following her like a shadow. Or are you a shadow of your past self? The future you wish to achieve?

What activiti could you even suggest that would make her stay?

So. Athena has been gone, and hasn't seen either of the only other two people on the ship.

"Right, uh. It's getting less clear what their goal is." No, whatever you want to do should not involve Archivist. She's been through enough, really! What.. did that even mean? What exactly was the watcher saying?

Ava looked at Athena. "I'm just glad someone's still here. Besides Callie, Ava here is the only person I've spoken to in.. a while." She gestures a hand at the Archivist as she speaks.

If I get Archivist to stay, do you promise to not change her body, conjoin us or- or whatever else..? I can be her crew member without intervention. Probably.

She could ask Archivist to teach her embroidery.

...I. I just. What I wanted to say is. Offering to melt you two together isn't a display of how much the watchers care for you. It's them using your insecurities to force you into hurting people. It's not love, it's entertainment.

The second point. Was that you and Archivist are dealing with issues to similar that you don't even realise it. And you both take eachother's struggles around being vulnerable and making friends and accepting help as rejection, which it isn't. Both of you are just afraid of being a burden. And it ends up in both of you feeling rejected and abandoned which just.. sucks. Really badly.

I'm sorry that it came out in the form of a shout. I was trying not to intervene, but, god, the misunderstanding was killing me. Not literally speaking.

There is a lot going on. So she takes Archivist's advice and breathes. "I don't have control over what they do, and it sounds like a choice but.. I don't think it is. Watchers do whatever they want."

Her attention directs back to Athena. "I haven't seen you in.. weeks? Where is Lyre and Ianus? I haven't seen them either."

Now it's Callie's turn. I wish you weren't in my head, sometimes...

"hello? Athena here. I- uh- wanted to check on you, make sure you didn't need more food or water or anything like that. I couldn't connect to the other speaker, so I wasn't sure if you still needed help or not" a speaker nearby Ava sounded out, with Athena's recognizable voice

"You again! I.. our station needs more food and water, before I send everyone out in emergency escape pods. Some of them won't freeze my crew, and they won't survive very long in those. We're abandoning the mission. I don't know if you can- anything can help."

The sounds of running around were audible in the background.

"We're out of options here, our stations have been under attack-"

Her voice cut out, and silence remained.

Okay! Sorry. I uhm- okay. I'm gonna not be in your head then.

[A small-ish antopomorphic cat creature appears on her bed, legs dangling off of the edge.]

Hallo! I'm not in your head anymore. But I will still continue the conversation. So. Why do you think that I'm lying?

Ava looks between the anthropomorphic cat, and Athena. Maybe it should get back in her head... This was going to get bad really quick, and Ava couldn't afford to cry again.

She laughs awkwardly. "You just don't know what you're talking about.. watcher."

She redirects her attention back to who she was initially talking to. "Ah- Athena.. then we can find you a home here. Has Ianus given you a bedroom yet?"
