i am actually glad that fionna's finally starting the part of her character arc in the last ep that involves seeing the people and creatures she fights (and usually kills) as actual living beings and not just video game NPCs or something. she was shown to be brash and physical with others since the first ep, and while i'm not gonna sit here and say she should be more dainty or some other crap like that, i am glad she's finally starting to realize how her actions affect other people and that the reality of the multiverse is sinking into her. interesting stuff!

i'm sure i'm not the first one to point this out but the fact that finn is dragging around teevee in "simon" and when we saw him in "obsidian" bronwyn was his accomplice... i'm starting to think he's just dragging jake's kids everywhere with him to try to fill that void

i like how fionna & cake feels like it's setting fionna and simon to be a clash of two worlds--not just literally but also in terms of how fionna is stuck in her mundane life wishing for something more magical, whereas simon is stuck in his magical life wanting to catch a fucking break and missing the mundane.

i wasn't really the target audience for whatever they were trying to do with bubbline in this universe but i really liked how marceline felt more childish in this universe
