atomic-homo reblogged your post why do people care so much about frozen and added:
because it is a great story, about sisterly love where the story does not revolve around the main character impressing...
but i feel like there are a lot of movies that cover all those themes along with having poc characters and varying character designs and imo do it better...... i mean it's just my opinion obviously no one can say which is better but for example look at lilo & stitch and then look at frozen and tell me which one in your opinion conveys familial love / sisterly love / etc better. i would say lilo & stitch, which also has a nonwhite leading cast + varying character designs. to me frozen seems like it's covering bases that have already been covered really thoroughly and then they have the whole poc fiasco etc etc... like i don't get why it has so much attention when it's already been done so many times. i'm not trying to say it's bad i just don't understand why it's as well received as it is when it's not really breaking any new ground. it just seems like any other animated film to me, yet no other animated film is as talked about as frozen within my social circle as of right now
