I am losing my mind

Finally got around to designing Jhara's back tattoo and after watching ATSV I realized I accidentally made her a Spider-Person, whoops. Let's look at the evidence:

Accidentally acquired powers that have great responsibility: check

Spider theme and imagery: check

Climbs and swings real good: check

Animate Rope spell = web slinging: check

Dead father figures: check

Conclusion: Jhara is a spider person.

Black is pre-rift incident, gold is post.

I’ve been making some maps for the alternate history HTTYD fic A Thing of Vikings (AO3 link here, TV Tropes page here) by, well, @athingofvikings​. Here’s the map at the start of Book 1 (chapters 1-31):

While a lot of the details are educated guesses on my part, I’ve tried my best to keep most of this as historically accurate as I can. At the start of the fic the map changes are confined to this area:

Where aside from Berk, there’s also two other small dots, one in Lewis and Harris and one in Wales (between Deheubarth and Gwynned and Powys) corresponding to the Meatheads and Bog-Burglars respectively.

A few chapters into the start of Book 3, the map looks like this:

And looking at Europe specifically, the map looks like this:

It’s at this point that the map changes begin in earnest. (There are also a couple of maps I made in-between these two.) And yes, at 119 chapters this fic is long, but it is also a very well-written fic, so if you’re interested in checking it out I recommend it.
