Almost shed a quick tear!!!! TRUE STORY, I begged my publisher to not put my real name in my book because it would be sending the WRONG message to the last Hollywood company that used me and make them feel that I needed my name/them to WIN!! My publishers told me if I don’t use my real name Joseph Rivers I would not sell even ONE copy because I had only been branding Prince of Nostalgia for a year and that name was only known for TV-Writing Work and it didn’t have enough clout to promote a book. I told them to PLEASE trust me, even if we ONLY sell 1 copy, I’m satisfied because it’s not worth EVER giving the publishers in Hollywood the satisfaction of feeling like they own me or my gift. So we took a leap and we printed 20,000 copies of the book and THEY ARE ALL GONE!!!! That’s faith and I thank my team so MUCH for listening to me that day I was in tears like I can’t use that name. I’m just so grateful!!!! I’m an official 6x BEST-SELLING AUTHOR!!!!! #ATrappedHeart was supposed to be my first book under Prince of Nostalgia but my team made this happen for me!!! This Collectors Edition was written by Prince of Nostalgia and that’s me!!!🙌🏾🙏🏾✨

Wow, wow, wow!!! My supporters have been blowing my website up this morning reminding me what today is. 7 YEARS AGO on this exact day I became a professional writer and released my FIRST book A Young Man with a Plan which came out worldwide moving over 100,000 copies via/ physical, digital, downloads, and online reading marketplaces. Although, I consider this my absolute worst piece of work, I thank this project for turning me into the man I am today. My fans and supporters see my growth, I put heart into my art now which is why it took me 2 years to give you my new book #ATrappedHeart AND THERE’S NOT A SOUL ON THIS EARTH WHO SAY IM NOT A DIFFERENT WRITER NOW. At the beginning of my career I wrote for the world, now I write for my own sick twisted mythical magic substances of love I visualize. I’ve learned to trust the process. In addition, without A Young Man with a Plan I wouldn’t have gotten to go on tour with the NBA and NFL and speak to so many souls on all those stages. I wouldn’t have gotten to sign books in different states and do so many tv-interviews talking about that piece of art. I don’t take a moment for granted, I know that A Young Man with a Plan will always be a key factor to cultivating me into who I am. Hence, I now write freakin TV-SHOWS for a living!!!!!! GROWTH!!!! Proud to announce that my first clothing line #LandOfNostalgia will be released this fall. It's been an incredible year for me even through all of the setbacks. From writing for my favorite tv-shows under my new pen name #PrinceOfNostalgia, to preparing for my new book #ATrappedHeart to be released in book stores around the country, to now acting in an upcoming tv-series that I myself wrote for a network has all been an incredible experience. There has been a struggle to maintain balance but through it all not a moment of the process has been taken for granted. Never in a million years did I think I would act in a tv-show or drop a clothing line. I used to think writing was my only talent but I'm thankful to be able to use all of my creativity and produce an energy of art that the world can appreciate. It's crazy I literally took 2-years off from writing books to create a new experience—something that breaks dimensions and today there were so many pre-order totaled up (over 5,000 orders have been waitlisted and that's not the total count) so we had to remove the links as we have to manufacture more physical copies. This piece of art was designed to elevates your consciousness vividly while examining your heart explicitly. I didn't want my core support system across all of my platforms to think I left you hanging just because I started screenwriting television shows. This particular project took all of me.
