As we continue to move forward in our next projects, it has become clear that the group itself must move forward as well. For quite a while now, the 104thvoicesquad and Attack on Titan Voices have been treated as slightly different entities, due to the strange nature in which our group was formed. While that has been true in the past, this is going to change.
Through a slow, gradual process over the next two weeks, attackontitanvoices will transition itself into a blog called 104thprojects. This will involve a couple of visual changes to the blog, but the purpose of the blog and the type of content posted will remain the same.
While the entirety of our team had been devoted to AOS and other SNK-related projects up until now, the 104thvoicesquad is beginning to move onto a more open stage, evolving as a voice acting production troupe beyond the limitations that AOTV presents itself. Does this mean we'll never voice anything SNK-related ever again? Of course not! The series is still well-loved by the group, and you'll surely see more of that kind of content in the future. However, making this change also allows us to post non-SNK content on here as well, such as our original audioplay.
"If you're turning this blog into a 104thvoicesquad blog, then what's the difference between this blog and 104thvoicesquad.tumblr.com?"
The 104thvoicesquad blog and the 104thProjects will have a few big differences:
The "104thvoicesquad" blog is run by several members of the group, with most of the group having access to it; "104thProjects" will be moderated by a very small number of people, with those people usually being project leaders. Right now, the only people who have access to the blog are Reuben, James, and myself (Aaron). I'll probably doing most of the posting on here for a while, since I'm the project leader of our new audioplay.
"104thvoicesquad" currently posts and reblogs nearly all of the content that 104thvoicesquad members have contributed to, regardless of whether the project was produced by the 104thvoicesquad or not; to contrast, "104thProjects" will only post and reblog content relating to our "big" projects, such as Attack on Space and the original audioplay. This narrows the focus of the blog, reducing clutter for those who only want to see the group's main stuff.
To add on to the previous bullet, this also means that future episodes from our original audioplay will be first posted on 104thProjects, aka *this* blog.
On a somewhat related note... Have you been wondering what this "original audioplay" is that I've been so vague about? Well, you may only have to wonder for a little longer. Check out this schedule for how the blog's transition period is going to work:
Tuesday, October 14th - Blog URL changes from "attackontitanvoices" to "104thProjects"; blog description changes
Saturday, October 18th - Blog theme changes to look like the second picture above
Wednesday, October 22nd - Blog avatar changes
Saturday, October 25th - Project announcement for the new audioplay
See that last bullet? Well, as the first official act of the 104thProjects blog, we'll be giving you guys a lot of new information on the audioplay. What information, you ask? We'll you'll just have to wait and see...
Regardless, we hope that most of you stick around to see what's in store. This is not an end... it is merely a new beginning, one which will push our group even harder than ever before.
See you on the other side, guys.
