What is your intention for this day? What my heart said to me is freedom and peach cobbler when I asked what she needs and wants. Attention is what we focus on. Intention is the reasoning and energy behind our focus.  Freedom to express myself on my blog or keep it within, to feel the comfort that peach cobbler brings me, to go or stay, to cry and laugh, to know that I am uncomfortable with the duality of all the happysad moments that are built into my life, to honor my heart when she says I don’t like those guided meditations-their voice is distracting-the process is unsettling-they all say it will work for me and it exacerbates the pain I currently feel, yet I do like John’s voice and his meditations. Freedom. Comfort. Pain and soothing peaches. Sometimes both. Sometimes neither. If I focus on my intention to allow myself to be all of my selves this day, then I can make plans to create a peach cobbler for me soon and I can allow myself to be frustrated that it won’t be the one from my memory. It’ll be without gluten and without my Granny and mother near me when I eat it. It’ll be with changes and without a holiday attached. It’ll be my opportunity to change, too, and to not pressure myself to be grateful for all the changes. 🆓DOM 🍑🥧

I can free myself to feel appreciation or aggravation today. Wow. That really is free. Both are built into life either way. Both are necessary, it seems.
