hi! i need help finding a fic. basically it’s crowley and aziraphale make a podcast called ‘the ineffable plan’ together. there’s excerpts from every episode and some twitter comments or something. one chapter, not a podfic. help? 🥴

This is Crowley’s problem— he’s always been too damn curious for his own good. Once he gets an idea in his head, something stupid and dangerous like What if I teamed up with an angel to stop Armageddon? or How fast can I go in this massive car down Oxford Street? he simply cannot let it go until he sees it through to the other end.

So now, as he probes at that secret place inside the long hallway of his heart, the dark door behind which he’s stowed over a thousand of years of pent-up longing, the question he knows he wouldn’t be able to rest until he answers is: What if I let myself feel it all?

“Lucky you,” he’d said.

“I’m sorry?”

Crowley had pointed to the dandelion stalk the stranger held in the crook of his arm, its sunny flower resting on his shoulder.

“Haven’t seen one of those all summer. The lady’s been at them like nobody’s business. A one-human war against weeds.”

“Oh. Yes, quite,” said the stranger, blinking. “The lady— do you mean Mrs. Young?”

Crowley squinted. “How d’you know her name, then?” 

“I—” The stranger’s clear eyes had been like the creek, seeming to change and flow even as Crowley gazed into them. They’d flicked over at the house, visible through the pelting downpour, and suddenly Crowley had understood.

This odd fellow wasn’t another demon at all.

“You’re from… Inside.”

Summary:

Finally, Aziraphale spoke. “You mean to say— you got us married?”

“Just as a precaution, I never really thought I’d end up discorporated again, it’d been ages, you just don’t get stampedes or assassinations like you used to —”

“You got us married, and you didn’t tell me?”

Crowley gets inconveniently discorporated. And it’s not like it’s ever been easy to get a new body, but this time around, things really aren’t looking good. His new innuendo-obsessed lust-demon of a coworker honestly isn’t helping things.

Meanwhile, Aziraphale has a dead body to contend with, and an occult mortician & his very normal daughter to fend off. What lengths will he go to in order to get Crowley back to Earth?

Let me read you a story! With no more assignments from Hell, Crowley has installed himself seemingly permanently on Aziriphale’s sofa —which will Not Do.

I... may or may not relate far too hard to both angel AND demon as here portrayed, and have very similar conversations running in my own head on many occasions, minus the kissing. Anyway, I had much too much fun with this, and would like to enthusiastically thank @areyougonnabe​, first for writing this, and second for allowing further transformative works.

Crowley and Aziraphale are very possibly the people least qualified, on the entire planet, to start up an advice podcast.But what else is there to do when the world isn’t ending anytime soon, you’re technically on indefinite sabbatical from your lifelong careers, and you need a plausible excuse to spend more time with your best friend who you’re definitely not, absolutely not, maybe just a little, actually maybe overwhelmingly in love with?
