When the World was yet a world and existence knew not of itself, there were two siblings. The Eldest created the World, and the Youngest its dwellers. And the World knew of existence. Then a third one came, and made the night and stars. The World knew of death and named itself 'Kasmos'.
You are the Blind Eye Spirit, the invisible watcher of the World when day departs. But the night is lonely, even with the countless stars, which only whisper amongst themselves. Your only company is perhaps the Sea. When you lie to rest, that brief moment of companionship is all you have. How envious you are of the Bright Eye Spirit who kept watch of the day.

Hi! Can you go into a bit more detail about the ro's backgrounds and appearances? By the way, you might want to pin your intro!
Hello! I'm more than happy to give you some more details on the ros
Firstly, because the Sun and the Sea are not mortal, they don't have a set appearance, but rather a certain characteristic(s) that each of their appearances shares. And their appearance changes depending on which region they are in, such as the way their hairstyles/texture, as well as their skin tone (you wouldn't expect someone who lives in somewhere sunny to be pale, just as you wouldn't expect someone who lives somewhere with little sun to have a very dark skin tone). With that being said, let's get to the main course below :D
The Sun:
Background: Although they are not the first of the Great Spirits that came into existence, as the first light and consequently the source of life, they are one of the most worshipped and celebrated Great Spirits. They receive countless prayers daily, which, unfortunately, gives them headaches and migraines at times.
Appearance: They have molten gold eyes, often paired with blinding white or extremely light blonde hair, and are dressed in various shades of gold, white, and light blues. Its length depends on how they feel that particular days and their gender (biding by what is considered to be normal is usually their go to), but they do find long hair a bit more troublesome than short hair. They prefer a tall, lean build so they can tower over others without being too intimidating. Their appearance is often described as regal but also approachable and warm.
The Sea:
Background: The sea is where the Bright Eye Spirit and the Blind Eye Spirits rest. It is said that it is the sea that carries them from one end of the world to the other, so that when they wake again, they can begin their watch over the world. And because of this, not only do sailors pray to the Sea but travelers as well. As the source of water, many pray to the Sea along with the wind spirits whenever there is a drought or flood, and offerings made to them are often much more than offerings made to the Sun, despite the other is celebrated more.
Appearance: Their eyes shift with the sea. On most days, they're calm and relaxed, like the sea on a sunny day. Other times, they're stormy and wild, as ruthless as the riptide. Their hair tends to be shorter regardless of their gender. And the color varies from dark brown to black. And often dressed in various shades of turquoise and teal with splashes of coral and silver. They linger around the sea and ports, so they prefer to have a more muscular and slightly above-average height to blend in with the sailors. They are described as charming and friendly, though at times also intimidating.
The Dying:
Background: Z was an orphan that the temple of Yuci took in. They were originally trained as one of the archers of the temple, but later got transferred over to the records department to be a scribe when the temple found out their talent for numbers. On rare occasions, you'll see them doing target practice at the temple's training grounds on their day off, but most of the time, they prefer to spend their time at the marketplace watching merchants selling their goods.
Appearance: They have dark, unassuming brown eyes that twinkled with speckles of amber and green under the sun, and dark raven black hair that fell just below their ears. For female Z, her hair is shoulder-length and tied back into a ponytail to keep it out of the way. Their warm olive skin leans on the slightly paler side due to their work as a scribe for the temple. They often dressed in more earthly hues and on occasion dark maroons.
Hiii! I just found this blog and read a bit about the story and... DAMN This looks so beautiful and nostalgic in a way, I hope you don't mind a bit of mumbling but here we go:
I wanted to make this post before starting all the other posts you've published, except for the introduction, to be a little more "objective" about the characters and lore. Maybe I'll do another one later, lol.
Anyway, I'm talking about "beautiful" and nostalgic in a slightly more poetic way, I suppose. As for the way you did the intro, I found it more poetic than the narrative style we're more used to. And yes, please give me more!
In such a short intro, we've been able to see quite a bit of the dynamics between RO and MC. How does the moon seem to be envious or perhaps a little insecure with its counterpart, the sun? At the same time, how does the sun seem to respect them? Or at least admit that they are not stronger/they are equals to MC (its light cannot illuminate MC's night)? Now, we don't know if, as I said before, this is said out of respect (a positive relationship with the sun) or not (enemies to lovers, who?).
The way you've portrayed the friendship between the sea and the moon is so beautiful. Especially when you play with how the moon attracts the tide, so these two being besties is just *chef kiss*
But I'm really curious about the third RO, ahhhh, could you tell us a little more about them? Wait, no, cross that out, tell us more about all of them please! Their physical appearances, personalities, or the dynamics between them with MC or among themselves (if it's not a spoiler, of course). What will the story be about? Will it be more character-focused or will it have a more intense lore?
Ahhh I can't wait
Hello! First and foremost thank you for the ask :D And I can’t put to words how happy your message makes me feel
I answered an ask on the physical appearance and some backgrounds of the ROs here:
As for the story itself, it based on the myth of the moon in my larger (and much older) story/project. I sort of started this as a side project and a break from my main story (which may or may not be a IF, I can’t promise that it’s a definite yes tho :/). The myth itself has 3 versions to it (there’s technically more but I only have 3 drafted ;-;), each version depends on which of the holy books you are reading. As for the writing/storytelling of this short-IF would switch between the usual third person writing style and the more poetic style used for myths (I fear I am most familiar and comfortable with this style; So it’s gonna be an interesting ride with the former). Will there be sad? The answer is maybe (I do love myself some sad, you have to blame Shakespeare for it.)
As for the dynamic of the Ros, I can say with absolute confidence that the Sun and the Dying’s dynamic will depend on choices (there’s some variations, hence why I am cursing out my past self/j) as for the Sea, it’s gonna be some variation of close acquaintance to friend to best friend to lover (the last is only if you want. Cus you in fact can just be single all the way 😎). I might change some things around, (*laughs nervously at this potential grave I dug for myself) but I will let yall know if I do :D
