Actor AU where Marc and Vale worked together on a film years ago. Everyone warned Marc, don’t sleep with him, that this was his modus operandi, Valentino Rossi always fucks his young promising ingenue co-stars before discarding them. The list of co-stars Valentino Rossi has been “linked to” is both widely reported and lengthy.

It won’t be like that, Marc had told himself. Vale introduced Marc to his mother. His little brother. Cooked breakfast for him in his trailer. Sat with Marc in the ambulance when he fucked up a stunt and needed to go to the hospital for some scans. It won’t be like that. In the months between wrapping filming and the promo tour commencing, he even spirited Marc away to his famed ranch where they slept under the stars among … other activities.

At the end of the week, Marc flies back to Spain to spend a few months with his family before flying back to meet up with Vale on the promo tour. Valentino drove him to the airport, they kissed in the car, leaning across the center console.

Fast forward to the promo tour and Vale is suddenly distant. Cold. In contrast, the early reviews for the film are glowing, drawing attention repeatedly to the sizzling chemistry between the two co-stars. A reporter at the press conference asks if they are likely to work together again?

“I hope we can work together again,” Marc answers honestly, “it was a big dream of mine, to get to act alongside Valentino.”

Beside him, Vale leans in towards his microphone. Marc looks over at him, his heart is beating so fast, “I think maybe once is enough,” Vale jokes lightly however his smile is strained and doesn’t reach his eyes.

Rae was the only one who didn’t look down on Hux when he presented. Saw his potential in spite of his biology. But she still knew he'd need to hide that part of himself to be taken seriously.

Brendol's comment about being "weak willed" was because he suspected Hux would grow up to be an alpha like his mother. Someone driven by instinct and unsuitable to carry Brendol's legacy.

But maybe he's not entirely ready for what he gets.

tl;dr I just want to see the alphas be condescended to as little fragile creature who might implode at any second for once. Rather than omegas needing to be sheltered as if they can't take care of themselves.

Paul was also hanging around at home and soon had his father to contend with. Jim hadn’t wanted him to leave school and go to Hamburg in the first place. He said Paul should now get a job and not just mess around doing nothing. ‘Satan finds things for idle hands,’ so Jim told Paul, with great originality, several times a day. Paul, never a rebel on principle and always willing to please, eventually gave in. ‘I went down to the Labour Exchange. That seemed to be the scene. They fixed me up with a job as second man on a lorry. I’d been on the Post Office the Christmas before from school, so I thought I’d try something different. ‘The firm was called Speedy Prompt Delivery – SPD. They did deliveries round the docks way. I got the early bus down to the docks and bought the Daily Mirror, trying to be a real working lad, though I was really just a college pudding. ‘I used to sit on the back of the lorry and helped to carry parcels. I was so buggered sometimes. I fell asleep on the lorry when we went to places like Chester. I was with them about two weeks and felt very worldly, having a job and a few quid in me pocket. “You should come visit the studio,” Vale broaches one morning with shafts of sunlight bleeding in through the curtains, he props himself up on his elbows, “I know the students would love to meet you.” Marc hasn’t been inside a studio since the accident and the subsequent, unsuccessful, rounds of surgery. Pecco has dug up some old taping of their 2013 run of Giselle and it’s all the kids have been able to talk about.

“Maybe some other time,” Marc deflects, lips pressed together in a way that gives away his real answer.

Vale reaches out to cup his cheek, those angular cheekbones, knows Marc will let him touch as much as he wants so long as he stays away from his arm, “just because you can’t dance anymore doesn’t mean you can’t still be involved in —“

“I don’t want to be involved in ballet if if can’t dance, Vale,” Marc snaps.

It’s so difficult to talk to Marc these days, he either clams up or lashes out, the only reason they’ve ended up here, picking up where they left off in each other’s beds is because Marc kissed him drunk one night and whispered, the doctor said they think my arm won’t ever be good enough to dance again, what’s the point of anything if I can’t dance?

Vale probably should have made him go see a therapist, instead he kissed back when Marc smashed their mouths together. It had been a long time since Marc wanted him like that.

It wasn’t always this fraught. Back when Marc’s arm was fine and they were guaranteed top billing each season, Marc could discern his thoughts just from how Vale arranged his hands on Marc’s waist. When they were always the first to arrive at the studio and would stretch together in front of the floor length mirrors and talk shit about the rest of the company.

Vale doesn’t tell Marc that he’s got Uccio working on the formal offer to Alex for the studio pianist role. He had been hoping Marc would agree to set foot inside the studio without any extra leverage but it looks like Marc is going to make him work for this.
