that was more than enough to have a soft little smile finding his lips. he was thinking, sure, but it wasn't exactly a good thought, was it? not that ares had to share it. he didn't, and wouldn't. there was no reason to bring the mood down, you know? they only had, what, a day, now? one of them wouldn't make it past twenty four hours. and to make it worse? it was going to happen on a fucking tv show. no matter where they went there were cameras, and mics, and people. god, so many people.
and they couldn't just leave! love island, they said. how fun it would be — oh, he had been kind of excited, actually. until he came face to face with him. that face he's seen so many times, but never before at the same time? the memories, the pain, the love. it all came rushing back.
and now? now ares was holding one of those hands as they sat in the sand and was doing his best to try to figure out how they could fucking leave and spend their day alone.
or maybe they'd have to make this work. they could do that, right? make it work. they always did.
"d'you wanna know what m'thinkin' about?" his smile widened a little as he brought his focus back in from the ocean waves to look at seunggi instead. "draggin' you to the shower for some alone time.”
