AUCTOVERSE: an umbrella term for anything that affects ones verse, but is not the basis, or does not affect it significantly enough to be considered a misceverse term
from the latin auctoritas = influence/originating
examples of ways it can be used:
miscelupus and auctofelis: a verse based on wolf-like behaviours/beings but in some way influenced by cat-like behaviours e.g meow subvocals
auctoundead: a verse that is not based/originating from behaviours of the undead, but the dynamics of the beings within the verse are affected by them being undead
the sun/star combo is meant to mimic the moon/star symbol in the miscecanis flag
so I coined this term auctoverse here and I wanted to elaborate a bit more on why we use it and different ways it might manifest!
The way that misce affects our system is that internally, every alter has an animal alignment. this can range from just mild animal behaviours to physical animal traits like ears and tails etc. it affects some more than others, but each individuals misce behaviours is based on their animal. the lycans are miscelycans, the birds misceavian, a butterfly is miscelepidoptera.
we have a lot of individuals who have multiple animal traits, or other things involved. some of us use multiple verse terms but in some cases, the animal influences feel less like a basis for our misce identities but instead influence it. for example, my verse is mainly based on bats and lycans, but I would consider it AFFECTED by certain skunk behaviours.
additionally, some people have experiences that make their verse slightly different to the average individual. we have alters who are mutants (in the mcu sense) and while they have an animal behaviour basis for their verse, it is changed and affected by their mutation. the same applies for alters who are undead, etc
with this all said I have some examples of ways aucto may or may not manifest in verses!

- based on doglike behaviours, but individuals have catlike features like cat ears
- based on doglike behaviours, but individuals purr and meow
- based on doglike behaviours, but omegas specifically act more like cats
auctomutant
- based on animal behaviours, but made more aggressive and territorial from mutation
- based on animal behaviours, but certain dynamics have certain types of abilities
auctofungal
- based on animal behaviours, but individuals interact like a fungal network
miscelupus auctolepus
- the mating cycles and hierarchy of the verse is based on wolves, but individuals act more like rabbits
and so on!!! it’s kind of up for interpretation but I wanted to shed some insight on some ways it works for us and might for you!
