Interview with Inuit guide
i guess it's peach theme lately! i'm happy to show y'all the audio slideshow from my weekend spent with the cheek's on their peach orchard and chicken farm! i posted some landscape shots from 2013 photojournalism weekend workshop here, but the goal with this multimedia piece is to capture a glimpse of what life is like day-to-day on a southern farm, including all the voices and ambient sounds. i couldn't be happier with the way that the story rapped up at the end!
The New York Times: One In 8 Million -- Dr. Rapkiewicz
Although I also stumbled upon a New York Times One in 8 Million piece on a friend of mine at Georgetown, this slideshow spoke to me more. It was an intriguing look at possibly one of the most morbid of professions. It definitely takes a person of strong character (and stomach!) to work at a morgue, and Dr. Rapkiewicz's fascinating anecdotes give a job dealing with death so much more life than I would have imagined. The pictures are also nicely chosen; they tilt toward how she keeps her spirituality even though she works in a highly scientific field. This dichotomy has always been one to interest me.
#london2012 - Audioslideshow 4: Die Zugabe ... die Rückkehr der "Helden" am 15. August 2012 in Hamburg Hafencity / Innenstadt.
