4: a story idea you haven’t written yet
my answer: well. i've got several! sometimes i like to let the ideas brew before i write anything... they need to fester a little bit so i can see if they'll take root or not. here's a few i've let take some root and am deciding if ill let them stay or uproot them for something else:
mc walks in on the ghouls masturbating. (cliche, but peak for sure. you can never go wrong with a masturbation fic. so many people on here are voyeurs and don't even know it.)
mc is on a dating app after being fed up with her choices in her immediate vicinity. much to her chagrin, all her swiping leads her right back to someone in her immediate vicinity... (may or may not write this one. if i do, it needs some serious workshopping.)
medieval or whatever-ish au where mc is an eligible noble, if not princess, betrothed to a prince from a neighbouring country with a different religion to reduce tensions and repair shaky negotiation foundations. you would love to do your duty to your country, but not even the alluring golden eyes of your suitor can shake the hold the silver-eyed jester already has on you. (im sure you can guess who's who lol)
im gonna be honest im waaaay too excited about that last one LMFAOOOOO i've already written a few paragraphs. initially i wasn't gonna say anything about it until i've written it out, but it's been brewing in my head for several months atp. i think its roots, while thin, are plentiful, so ill continue progress. it's going to be an unusually long fic (like, longer than pavlov's ghoul), so i don't predict ill have it done til september. it'll be a while...
i should mention the last one is semi-inspired by the time i first started playing Tokyo Debunker and was. SO disappointed that you couldn't romance anyone. i was so disappointed, in fact, that i ended up having a dream where haku was the prince of a religious country and was tired of living a sheltered life AND he was romanceable. every day that i remember that dream i die a little inside. im so mad that it was just a dream... (it is also semi-inspired by this tiktok here! do u see the vision...)
27: your favorite part of the writing process
my answer: actually writing it. i fear nothing could ever top that. I love the feeling of my fingers flying across my keyboard, filling page after page with words specially handpicked and carefully woven into a story. i love getting into the zone and letting the music i chose drone on endlessly while i focus entirely on my writing. i even love writing the parts i cringe at internally, where i have to turn away from the screen and type out the words because i can't stand to look at it while typing out a particularly descriptive smut scene.
my favorite part would be coming up with the fic itself, as that is also an exhilarating part of the process, but i enjoy writing more than fantasizing. i love it when it suddenly dawns on me and i just know it'll be a hit, but i also love making the hit come to life!
29: how easy is it for you to come up with titles?
my answer: it depends! sometimes i come up with a title in the snap of a finger, and it's the perfect title on my first try. other times, i struggle, and end up picking what sounds "okay", at the very least.
for example, a scrapped title for Pavlov's Ghoul was "Ecstasy". i even had a different title for Starstruck Coral, as it was almost "Belle of the Ball". my sho fic, Holidays with Ghouls, is probably my worst title i think. i just couldn't come up with anything better, haha!
on the other hand, for my perv haku fic, Victim, I came up with that one immediately. it was like i was struck with genius. and my ritsu fic, Delicate, was also immediate. i hadn't even written the fic yet, i just knew what i wanted it to contain.
so yeah. it depends.
