I have a question
how do you pronounce aunt???
ant
a’nt
if for some reason you end up raising your niece/nephew from a young age (parents deceased) and the child starts calling you Mom/Mum/Dad when they start talking do you...
go with it
correct them to use aunt/uncle
see if the child asks about it
correct the child but let them choose later

We had had a nasty argument that got pretty heated.
We both said some things we regret, I know, and I'm really sorry, I didn't mean any of them, it was just the heat of the moment," I told her.
"It's way too late for apologizes. Your backside's going to pay this time. I've already called Aunt Melissa."
Oh, baby, please! Not her! Call her back! I'll make it up to you! I'll do anything!
"What you'll do is lie over the end of the bed in your birthday suit while Auntie M makes SURE you're sorry and makes sure you would NEVER mean any of those things."
You didn't tell her what I said!
"All of them. Every single one. Think about that while you're waiting for 1 o'clock."
What? One o'clock?
"That's when I expect her to walk through that door. You'd better start stripping now!"
"And this"
"And THIS!"
"Okay, sweetie, I'm sure he's sorry by now."
"Oh, thanks so much, Auntie!"
"Happy to help."
