ELA: So, why is there this weird disconnect happening lately
ELA: Is it because my dad doesn't like you?
ELA: Because let's be honest unless he's the one you're into, that's a pretty manageable issue

To be honest, he was sort of on the side of not wanting to come to this party. Orion just didn’t want to be seen as the guy stuck in college, especially with all the talk of him choosing to open a studio to do his art instead of taking the throne of Wonderland right after graduation. But, here was here for two major reasons: reason one being that he knew people kept blowing him up for drugs. He didn’t want his studio to become a trap house, it was meant to be his creative outlet not where he had to constantly be on his toes if someone was going to show up and fuck with him or bother him.
The other being Clara, she was a beautiful girl and it was a frat party, so he wanted to make sure she was good for the night and....hopefully she’d be happy to see him too. Seeing her having fun with her friends in the dance floor, he kept his distance with an amused gaze, sipping his drink as he felt a guy approach him. It was a quick, swift movement of a low-five and transferring the baggy into his hand, and his gaze didn’t move from Clara as he brought his beer bottle to his lips for a low swig.

Winter break is upon us, as is the Winter Solstice Ball.
It’s mid December and we all know what that means, the winter semester is coming to a close. We hope you’ve all been studying hard for your final exams because the semester will end this Friday. Just like the past semesters, students are welcome to stay on campus for the holiday break if they do not have the means or the will to go home, but are encouraged to make plans as the break between fall and spring semester is long in comparison to others. Spring semester will start up again on January 6th, but in the meantime, after your last final is taken, all students are free from academic obligations!
And before everyone leaves for their respective cities, kingdoms and countries for the break, the King will be hosting a Winter Solstice Ball at the royal castle. The Ball will begin at 7pm sharp on Saturday night, and all in Auradon City are welcome to attend. Food and drink will be served throughout the night. We are excited to see you there.
EVENT INFORMATION
The ball is not mediatory for every character, but it is encouraged to have your character attend. Anyone who will be in Auradon City the night of the ball will be welcomed through the doors, so if your character is in town, they will not need an invitation to attend. Just an acceptable outfit.
As this is a Ball, we’d love to see what everyone wearing for the night. So please feel free to make any edits or graphics to share with the group, and tag them with #auradoninspo
It will begin December 13st at 12pm and conclude on Thursday, December 19th at 11:59pm. Like always, if you have any threads you have not concluded by the last day of the event, you’re more than free to continue them to close them out, we just won’t allow any new threads to be made.
non-event threads and interactions are still allowed on the dash.
if making a starter, continue to use the #auradonstarter, #auradonevent tags #event014 or whatever may fit with your own personal tagging system, so players know what is happening during the event and what is happening outside of it.

winter solstice ball.
Leaning against the makeshift bar. A self rolled cigarette pressed between her lips as she watched the crowd. A few fights had already gone down. The bets were still rolling in and the place was practically at capacity. She’d expected that everything was going to go well. But she hadn’t expected it to go this well. It was turning out to be worth involving so many other people. They’d have a nice chunk of cash to split between them. Not to mention it had sated her craving for some good old fashion violence. Feeling a presence next to her she turned her head to greet the person. “Having fun?” she asked loudly over the cheers of the crowd as the next duo entered the “ring”. Delphine was in a good mood for the night. She figured she could be social and make sure people were enjoying the little show they’d put together.
The first place that Evan stepped foot in the moment he arrived back in Auradon was his dorm room on campus. Opening the door and turning the light back on, the room was still in the exact state that he had left it in the night he had messily packed up a bag to head back home to the Isle. He had been on campus for the first day of the school year, only to receive a dire message from his Grandmother. His mother was sick, really sick, and he needed to come back home. What he had hoped would only be a few days home turned into weeks and then into months before he finally felt comfortable enough to leave the Isle and head back to school. He had missed so much of the school year thus far that he was sure he would have to wait until the next semester to rejoin, but hell, it seems even schools understand an extenuating circumstance like this one. With his bags dropped off, the second place that Evan headed to was the warehouse that no one wanted to talk about. Being gone for so long meant that Evan was practically invisible, but he had still received the email that gave him the time and the place to go. With his black hoodie matching the black sweats he had on, Evan followed the directions, forking over the money to the doorman before entering the scene before him. A drink was the first thing he needed and once he had one in hand, Evan gravitated toward the others watching the match before him. It felt good to be surrounded by people and not just sickness and death. It felt good to be lost in the crowd.
