" i don't quite follow . "
Ghost exhales a waned breath. he's got a list of things he'd like to get done today and he's managed to do a total of zero of them. not that that's anyone's fault but his, of course, he's managed to get himself distracted from his work. being a detective isn't all it's crakced up to be - there's a lot of paperwork involved that has a tendency to drone on and on and on. it's his least favorite part of the job and in fact, he usually doesn't even complete it. to be honest, he usually pawns off the paperwork onto his team to complete just so he doesn't have to do it. while that's probably not very fair, he is the lead and he has some say in what goes on in the department - as long as his boss doesn't intervene. unfortunately, he wasn't able to pawn off his work today - he's got a stack of paperwork just waiting to be done sitting on his desk that he was ultimately avoiding looking at.
instead, his attention is solely focused on Warren, his legs propped up on his desk like he doesn't care that his work was sitting there. he points his pen in his direction and hums as he replies in a cool tone, "yeah, i know. i have a problem with talking too much and beating around the bush." he sits up then, sliding out from behind his desk and letting his feet hit the floor as he swivels his chair towards him. "i'm investigating an unsolved murder case that happened in the early 80's." he grabs for his portfolio and offers it to Warren a moment later. "take a look and tell me what you see. i need a second pair of eyes, i've been staring at it too long. to summarize the case: a family was found brutalized in their home with all the doors and windows locked from the inside. no forced entry. originally, the the police tried to pin it on the husband as a murder suicide, but there was no evidence to back that theory up. i'm a little stumped."
