Chuu’un is absolutely not sneaking a peek at the visiting king. Absolutely not.

He also hasn’t finished reading all his adventures and placed sharp, biting annotations on each margin because having such material was borderline insubordination to his empire.

(In all honesty, Sinbad used too many flamboyant adjectives. That sort of thing can get boring very quickly. And his lurid descriptions of his encounter with the amazon women was just too colorful.)

The nightmare

◤ Others often teased him for taking naps. He was used to some in the group calling him lazy. It wasn’t like he could tell them the truth. The Fanalis wasn’t lazy, but he couldn’t sleep well at night. Nightmares always plagued him, and so he took naps in the day to make up for the lack of sleep at night.

Tonight was no different. He made sure his room was separated from the others. So they wouldn’t here him mumbling in his sleep. Tonight was one of the worst nightmares, he’s had in a long time. The child and tossed and turned himself off the bed and was still thrashing. Tears sprang from his eyes, and finally he let out a small scream. The pain in the dream became to much. The nightmare taking over. ◢

"Excuse me, youre king sinbad...correct?" The violet haired man asked, leaning heavily on his wooden crutch. A short woman on his other side. They had been trying all day to see the king and now they had finally been able to...and they were both excited that they may be seeing their son again but also scared they might be wrong.
