He cracked a smile, before laughing entirely.
“Please call me Battler. Honestly though, I guess it runs in the family, well, my old bastard didn’t catch it unfortunately for me and my sister.”
“I guess it’s because I honestly don’t take too much pride in it. Neither did gramps. I mean it’s nice to have all of this power, but that’s really not what’s important to me. Sounds cheesy I know but <RED> it’s the truth.” </RED>
It was something else than ran deeper than any power ever could.
The magic thing still threw Tatsumi for a loop. To be suddenly confronted with such a dramatic twist of reality (that what he felt was pretend child's play existed for certain in this world) was a bit like being pushed into a pool without any time to adjust to the cold water ---- and in the privacy of his own thoughts, he was a bit unnerved by the whole questionable concept. It didn't sit right with him. His smile faltered momentarily at the flash of red that followed with the other man's statement, but otherwise he was careful not to let any of his misgiving slip through, relaxing back in his seat and giving a low laugh of his own.
"I see."
"Then, ...I guess it isn't really that surprising, huh? You have a young family to care for, after all. It's easy to forget about that part when you look so young yourself."
