💕 🔥 🧩💥 - Joker & Aurora please!
Thank you!
💕: How did they both realize "oh wait, this is actually love"?
It was different times for them both. For Joker, it was during the events of Mass Effect 1, when he realized he didn't know if Shepard was alive on Feros. Not being in contact with her for as long as he was, the worst things went through his head, and he realized he cared about her more than a friend, more than a subordinate with his Commander, he was totally head over heels in love. For Aurora, it took longer. It wasn't until the moment the Collectors attacked the SR-1, when Joker was refusing to leave her, thinking he could save the ship and the crew, when Aurora knew without a doubt she was going to die for this man. Because she loved him and wasn't going to live without him. The two of them are idiots, but at least they get a second chance in ME2.
🔥: What's the pettiest thing they've argued about?
Probably something about Blasto. The two of them are VERY serious about their Blasto movies and yes, sometimes this has resulted in them arguing about things that don't matter. Tali hates movie nights whenever a Blasto vid is chosen because it means the two of them are going to fight the entire time.
🧩: What tiny habit of the other do they find unbearably adorable?
So. When Joker is working out a really difficult problem or trying to figure out a good maneuver to fly in, he tugs his hat forward on his head. Like, pulls it down over his eyes, or messes with the brim. Aurora caught onto it quickly, and whenever he does it, she thinks it's adorable. Because he doesn't realize he does it every time. And it let's her know when something really has him thinking. When it comes to Rori, Jeff adores it when she finally lets her hair down. Actually takes it out of the bun she usually wears it in. That means, she is back to being just Rori, not Commander Shepard. And he also loves having the ability to run his fingers through her hair. It's softer than he'd expected it to be and when she takes her hair down, it means she's relaxed, and he loves when she's relaxed.
💥: What's the biggest risk one of them took for the other that the partner didn't find out about until much later?
So Aurora is usually the one taking risks for Joker. He's safer in the ship while she's in the middle of a fight, unless it's a space battle, of course. And she likes it that way. She doesn't have to worry about him or her crew because she knows he'll do what he needs to to keep everyone safe. But there are times when he cuts it a little close and she gets worried he put himself into harm's way for her. One of those times is when he flew a shuttle himself to pick her up out of the line of fire, and she didn't realize it was Joker and not Cortez at first. You know, she was dodging active enemy fire. But when they get back to the ship... yeah, Joker gets an earful but it was worth it to him to have her back safe.
