atlas had never understood the beauty of the night sky until it was ripped away from him so suddenly when he and his sisters were forced to accompany their father under the mountain. and now, every night he spent free from that dark place, he made sure to take at least a few moments to observe the twinkling stars above. however, on clear nights, it was far more difficult to peel his eyes away and simply return to sleep.
no, the prince would much rather find a comfortable place to sit in the garden and stargaze. as made his way through the maze of flowers and shrubbery, he was surprised to find someone else had a similar urge in the dead of night. there sat the lady of the spring court, looking as regal as he remembered her being. ❝ sleep doesn't come so easily, hm? ❞ he asked out of curiosity as he stopped before her, surely obstructing whatever pleasing view she might have had.
