(breathes in) it’s just a lot rn involving school like.......too much... im in art school right (the only one in this city and the surrounding cities) and they have this policy?? where they don’t really do exams in the artistic subjects and instead do projects where we have to be creative, and like, i love that! like rlly i appreciate that they aren’t trying to separate us from doing art but it’s honestly poorly executed. like it’s a policy they’ve just integrated not long ago and it’s chaotic. we have over 10 projects for next week + three exams of common subjects (languages, philosophy, history) and it’s just too much to handle and it’s tiring and draining. examples of the projects they make us do is 1 create a website about social scultpure 2 a short using the characteristics of surrealist cinema 3 make a 9 panel illustration with different ethnicities, etc. they all sound nice and are fun separately or even just the three of em together but when u have over 10 of this style of things and you have deadlines it just gets BAD and MESSY.
besides that is our yearly project (the thing im most worried about), project that we started in may and have to hand in on the 5th of november, and do a speech with a tribunal of 3 people on the 19th. the deadline is so soon and i’m really behind with everything, as i chose to do an animation and it was such a big thing for me, so i got behind. im determined so i still think ill finish it, but everything is busy rn and i cant actually spend hours on it if we have all this other projects to do, and im just worried i wont be able to hand it on time (it consists of a 2 min short that includes both 2d animation and film, with a website to go with it explaining history, tecniques and themes of animation, along with the diary of the process of it)
