#1 – Montana

Honestly Montana looks incredibly skeletal in the face, but it actually works. I just love how brilliantly different this is from anything else Montana has produced. It is high fashion brilliance. She proved she was more than just a pretty girl, with a few good moves. She is incredibly versatile too. I feel like this statement is completely redundant, but Montana’s win is easily the most deserved win of the entire NTM franchise.

1. Montana

Montana’s shot could be straight out of any edition of Vogue around the world, it’s absolutely brilliant. I adore the way she worked with the wind instead of against it with the fluidity of her body language and the way she let the fabric billow dramatically around her. Her face looks completely different from any of her other photos; her bone structure is so severe and I love her icy, fierce stare, it all fits the brief perfectly. Montana’s picture is magical and a fantastic end to her extremely impressive portfolio.

2. Liz

Liz really turned in some of her best shots ever in this finale. I love how she powered through the wind and is in total control of both her body and the fabric of the jumpsuit. There’s so much strength in her pose and she still looks tall and imposing even with her wide stance. Her face is totally ferocious and her eyes burrowing straight through the camera. Liz stepped up her game at the optimal time and showed that she was a formidable competitor.

3. Simone

I love that all three girls fought their hearts out in these last two shoots. Simone is such a diva here. She looks like she’s being over-dramatically exhausted by the heat in such a fabulous way. The pose could be a bit more creative, but it’s still effective. Yet again she convincingly pulled off a high fashion brief and proved she wasn’t just commercial. Simone delivered another strong photo, but similar to the first part of this week she was simply outdone by Liz and Montana.

#2 – Liz

Liz’s portfolio certainly ended well. Both of her photos from this week are strong, but unfortunately she couldn’t grab a first call-out from me. But when you are against Montana, possibly the most successful NTM alumni of all time, it is kind of understandable. Still, Liz is working the hell out of that jumpsuit. The shot has drama, extravagance, and the focus in the face is brilliant. The cropped arm is an issue, but other than that the shot is pretty strong.

#3 – Simone

I want to love this photo, I am sure I used to. In fact, I am pretty sure it used to be my favourite from the week. Boy have things changed. Now I just think Simone looks a bit sick, she doesn’t seem to take the whole no-eyebrow things well. The pose too is just screaming headache over high fashion. I can understand with Simone’s work in the finale why she came third.
