Totally off topic from my usual content but for all my Aussie followers, it’s so bloody important we all sign the below petition.

It’s important because the 37+ are voting based on what they see on the news, in the papers/ news apps and on Facebook adverts. I mean my 40 year old mum believes climate change isn’t real because of trash she reads. Most of Australia are unaware 50% of the Great Barrier Reef, one of Australia’s biggest and likely most profitable natural landmarks has been destroyed? Because our media didn’t report on it, you know who did though? Every other media outlet in every single other country.

Please sign this petition, it doesn’t matter if you’re a liberal supporter or a labour supporter, you have the right to facts, not opinion pieces. You deserve factual and accurate information on exactly what our leaders are doing.

i love that people don’t love the current government, so they introduce people by the positions they held in previous ones - so my boss is in a current ministerial role, we didnt announce him by that title, but everyone who was on the last two of our frontbenches had that mentioned in their intros... it says a lot.

Met Tanya plibersek today at uni. She spoke very well, was very polite, friendly and tried to take the time to talk to everyone and take photos even though she was busy which was so lovely of her :) 

However, I’m both shocked and disappointed by the way she spoke about the liberal party, agreeing that she “really hopes” abbot will be pm during the election so it can give labor political advantage, implicitly implying that Peter Dutton wasn’t adequate and explicitly calling liberal party members ‘idiots’. Just the explicit slander she gave to the liberal party, she really didn’t hold back. I understand that the room was mostly filled with young ALP supporters and she was trying appealing to them, but I did expect better from her. It just seemed almost...childish and very unprofessional and I’m shocked that she would sink that low.

Lately I feel like i'm not 'all muslims are terrorists and we should band the burqa' right wing enough, but i'm not 'we should increase welfare and yay affirmative action' left wing enough. I feel stuck and rejected by so many.
