Malunggay Principle

It has been a while.. Naging stagnant tong blog ko for such a time..I dont have laptop na kase thats why.. but I really missed blogging.. And hopefully I would be able to continue it regardless of busy and stuffy skeds.. Now here’s one of the most striking illustration I ever came across with. Feel free to read and react.

"Any idea how old is this plant?"

The question was raised when Pastor Jonathan put the plant on the table. Clueless, we made our wildest guess. “8 months?” “9 months?” “6 months?”

When he planted his malunggay way back in his own backyard in Vigan, in just a matter of one year, it was already thriving that it grew so tall and fruitful.

We all guessed wrongly.. this malunggay plant in a pot in front of us is almost 2years already!!

Why it didnt look like so? He said it’s because of it’s environment. The climate and all, it made a huge factor why this is not growing like it should be where in fact this plant came from the same seed with what he planted first.

He connected the point with discipleship..that in order for the people to grow, like they really should, we have to be in a kind of environment that will make us thrive.

Because if not, we will end up running long years in our christian life without really growing and becoming fruitful in the kingdom of God.

What kind of environment are you in?

Changed life should be obvious. Transformation should be evident. Fruitfulness should be inevitable.

If you are not with people who doesn’t offend you and are not coming alongside for your growth and never pushed you to your best, then you might be in a wrong environment.

Are you the kind of person who doesn’t want correction and always longs for affirmation?

Best people to be with are those people who never held back the truth for your own protection and best interest.

I am grateful I have these people..true and brave enough to tell me that I am having it all wrong.. People who won’t tolerate my “unreasonbleness” stubbornness and nevertheless stands with you and protect you regardless if you dont want it.

Little do they know, this simply creates the atmosphere to unstoppably grow..
