If it Requires Fake Smiling,I'm not Going.
We all know it is often better to hold our tongue and contrive smile and than risk being frightened of ridicule, gossiped about or losing friends. Much of our waking lives if allowed involves walking on eggshells around others, biting our tongue or smiling when we actually feel petulant irritated or angry. When you place yourself around cheesy, phony, fake, insincere or pretentious people this feeling can be amplified.
Think of the people you most and least admire. Chances are you will find that it is authenticity that differentiates those you respect and trust from those you don’t. Call me a Sapiosexual if you must, but I admire those who possess self-knowledge, the ability to be honest and transparent and who stand their ground by speaking their truth.
I have not been placed on this earth to tell you what you want to hear but to help raise you up. Sometimes that takes brutal honesty So, if it requires fake smiling and speaking niceties about the weather then I'm not going.
