Edgar Allan Poe Maze
An Edgar Allan Poe Maze
For Authors Day, November 1st, I decided to draw a maze tribute to Edgar Allan Poe. I’ve always enjoyed his work and he makes a great subject for a maze. This is not the first time he has featured in one of my works though!!! Long long ago I created a Poe themed maze for a dear friend of mine. As you can see it’s definitely much older and in a bit of a more primitive style from my current work.…

Today is National Author’s Day, a day in which we celebrate authors, books, and all things literary. And as many of you know, Sarah and I are both published authors. So this is a nice excuse for both of us to talk a little about the books we’ve released and the books we’re we’re working on!
Sarah Fischer
Always the avid reader, Sarah Fischer found it frustrating that there were so few books following the struggles and joys that a typical college student faces. While recovering from surgery, she decided to write one. Elton Hall Chronicles, a new adult series, is based on true events that happened to Sarah and her group of friends. When she isn’t unveiling long held secrets or working as a government drone, Sarah likes to go to the movies with her husband and spend time with her two furbabies.
First Semester: Elton Hall Chronicles (1)
Book one in the Elton Hall Chronicles follows freshman student Violet as she begins her education, falls in love, and battles those who wish to destroy everything she’s worked for. Although it’s against the rules, she’s drawn to the British, visiting Professor Berneli who teaches her literature class. They know it’s wrong, and when a simple fling begins to build into something more, they’re left to decide what truly matters in regards to their dirty, little secret. But someone is already in on the secret and threatens to do more than just ruin both their reputations.
As a side note, Sarah’s been using this book as a tool to teach college students about the importance of reporting harassment, how to detect and recognize assault, and the ways to help yourself or a friend in regards to being a victim.
First Semester is available HERE in paperback, ebook, and for free on kindle unlimited.
Second Snowfall: Elton Hall Chronicles (2)
In the second installment, Violet’s best friend Annabelle is the star here, and comes into her own as an adult woman when she meets a handsome firefighter named King who knows how to turn up the heat. But even though her new man is rich, strong, and seems to really know how to treat a lady, there’s something off about the trust fund kid turned college hero. Annabelle knows it, even if she can’t quite piece it together. And when one of her friends comes a little too close, both might end up getting burned.
Second Snowfall is available HERE in paperback, ebook, and for free with Kindle Unlimited.
Third Wheel: Elton Hall Chronicles (3)
In the heart pounding finale, college student Christie is tired of living her picture perfect life and longs to be her own person and make her own decisions. One of the first decisions she makes is to have a passionate fling with Shane, a Korean street racer, who is just as charming as he is dangerous. He’s a far cry from the military man her family and friends want her to be with, but Christie wouldn’t have it any other way. Her new guy helps her walk on the wild side and is always there to catch her if she falls.
Third Wheel is available HERE in ebook, paperback, and for free with Kindle Unlimited.
Kelsey McKnight
From Scottish lairds to billionaire businessmen, Kelsey McKnight will ignite your soul, no matter what century it lives in. Kelsey is a university-educated historian from southern New Jersey. She has married her great loves of romance, history, and literature to create her newly finished works, The Scottish Stone Series. This collection takes readers on a journey through the bustling streets of Victorian London and into the lush hills of the Scottish Highlands. Her second book, a contemporary romance titled The Non-Disclosure Agreement, is also available now and features a bad boy politician and the small town girl that could change his ways. When she’s not writing, Kelsey can be found reading, drinking too much coffee, spending time with her family, and working for two separate nonprofit organizations.
Queen of Emeralds: The Scottish Stone Series (1)

A Scottish laird named Conner offers her sanctuary in his Highland castle, an more than just the heather blooms upon the hills. But when a shadowed figure comes to call, Charlotte may have to fight for more than just her right to love.
Queen of Emeralds is available HERE in paperback, ebook, and for free with Kindle Unlimited.
The Amethyst Bride: The Scottish Stone Series (2)
Charlotte’s best friend Penelope is her opposite, completely enamored with the prospect of staying in her perfect, high society position with the held of a carefully selected husband. But when she begins a musical project with a Scottish warrior named Drummond, the gentle giant’s voice isn’t the first thing on her mind. He can’t offer her money, a title, or a grand home in the heart of town, only his love. She’s left to decide between a rich man who can give her the world and a poor man who puts her in the center of his.
The Amethyst Bride is available HERE in paperback, ebook, and for free with Kindle Unlimited.
His Tarnished Ruby: The Scottish Stone Series (3)
Conner’s little sister Flora has her eye on a certain man she’s been flirting with for years. Jasper’s older, a fierce man with a reputation to match, and everyone in her life tells her to give up her dream of marrying him. But Flora thinks she knows best and makes one decision that ruins everything. She flees Scotland to heal her wounded heart in London where she meets a man named Andrew from her past. He’s the calm to her storm and vows to love her just the way she is. But Flora can’t believe anyone would else care for her again, a feeling that it only heightened when her past comes calling.
His Tarnished Ruby is available HERE in paperback, ebook, and for free with Kindle Unlimited.
The Non-Disclosure Agreement
Holly comes to the big city with even bigger dreams, and works as a personal assistant while waiting for her big break. But that big break comes in an unexpected way when her boss, Jackson, tells her he needs a fiancée in order to woo the voters of New York City. On paper it sounds fantastic, she gets all the perks the rich and famous of NYC enjoy while Jackson gets to look like a family man. But mixing business with pleasure is a dangerous game.

Craving Bad: An Anthology
In The Thief’s Partner by Sarah Fischer, Lucy is accidentally drawn into a fast-paced chase after her twin brother’s dangerous friend goes on the run with some stolen diamonds. And while her brain screams out for justice for her dead brother, her heart longs for something more. Will she choose to live life on the edge, or will she go back to her normal, safe existence?
In Ironside Sinners by Kelsey McKnight, Vera stayed behind in her small, mining town to while her high school sweetheart left to escape the cycle of their parents. But years later when he rolls through with his motorcycle club, they find they’ve grown into different people, but the feelings they once shared are the same. Vera is forced to choose between her small town world and the dangerous life where nothing will ever go according to plan.
Craving Bad is available HERE in paperback, ebook, and for free with Kindle Unlimited.
In the Future
We’re both working on separate books, Kelsey focusing on romantic comedies and Sarah diving into the world of young adult novels. But together they’re writing a traditional romance that they hope will be perfect for the cold winter months to come.

Essex Author Day!
On Saturday, I was lucky enough to be invited to be a part of Essex Author Day as part of the Essex Book Festival. And what better way to spend a Saturday than to be surrounded by other writers?
It's incredible to be in a room full of like-minded people. In this case, book lovers! There were loads of different workshops, talks, and readings for people to go to, as well as stands to visit. It was great to see so many book people!
I signed books, had a reading, and spoke to many, many people about the ZA and ZA! Gotta get people ZA ready somehow.
Thanks for having me! Sending out so much love and luck to my fellow Essex Authors! Hope we can do it again next year!
To see pictures, please visit my blog.
(im all about 1000+ words, so Pale can go for this one if they want to. honestly, though, whoever is feeling more inspired/wants to write this one, go for it. i have no preference, but i figured i should at least acknowledge the rule.) a Rogue Nation AU in which it was Ethan's job to retrieve the ledger and Benji's job to go underwater. h/c and fluff, please!
Here we go! Finally! If you can believe it , I actually started working on this as soon as it arrived, which I really think is a testament to the terrifying power of my writer’s block. It is also the longest fic I have ever written by far, clocking in at nearly 2,500 words.
This also marks the first collaboration between Pale and I in the history of our blogging endeavor, I really couldn’t have done it without them, their grasp of flowery language is much more advanced then mine. My work was definitely heightened with their expert editing and dialogue skills.
I am going to put the fic itself under the cut, as it really is quite long, especially with tumblr’s formatting.
As always, I hope you enjoy, and thanks so much for reading!

It's #AuthorDay!
I've read some amazing books by incredible female authors this year:
The Farseer Trilogy and The Liveship Traders by Robin Hobb
These books feature wonderfully intricate world building with complex and nuanced characters. Easily the best fantasy novels I've read in years. I ordered the next trilogy (The Tawny Man) online and it should be coming any day now!
Small Wonders by Courtney Lux
A gritty portrait of a young man who needs to learn to allow himself to be loved. @courtney-lux doesn't pull any punches, and Nathan and Trip feel so real you can almost touch them.
Year of Yes by Shondra Rhimes
I love everything this woman puts out. Rhimes is unapologetically ambitious, and reading about her Year of Yes both humbled and inspired.
The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater
I'm only two books into this four book series, but @maggie-stiefvater writes with such grace and poetry that I'm awestruck every other page.
Love in Los Angeles by Erin McRae and Racheline Maltese
Specifically the most recent release, Phoenix, which was heartbreaking. Though I haven't quite forgiven this duo ( @seetheandtumble & @lettersfromtitan ) for killing off my favourite character, it’s immensely gratifying to read stories about relationships and families that reflect my own.
Happy Author Day to all the authors out there!
