Hehehe, cool. (I started to answer the numbers for the long number asks and realized it halfway. Oh, well, let’s start again.)
4. do you like your name? is there another name you think would fit you better? Okay, so for anyone who doesn’t know, my real name is Rebeka. I do like it, yeah. I just recently changed my last name and dropped my middle name, but I never even thought about changing Rebeka, so that’s a pretty good indication. When I was small I wanted to be called Reka (which is a Hungarian name and one of the actresses I liked had this name), but I’m pretty satisfied with it now. I think it fits me well - and the spelling is unique even in English speaking countries where the name itself is much more popular than in Hungary.
6. are you religious/spiritual?
No and yes. I think religion and spirituality are actually in conflict with each other most of the time. I don’t have a religion - I did go to Catholic school for 1 year in 4th grade, hated it so much that I became an Atheist after for a good 5-7 years, but I’m not even baptized. Now I’m of the opinion that most religions are very limited and very close-minded - like they have very similar principles, yet they all profess to know more than all the others and be the one true religion. Which is bullshit in my opinion. I do believe that there is a higher power than us - whether you call it God, Buddha, the Universe, Moon Goddess or whatever else you want, I do think there’s something else out there. For me us being the only creatures in existence doesn’t make sense. Also, humankind is remarkably good in destroying things, I do not think we could have made all that there is. I don’t believe we’re up to that standard yet. I do have a spiritual life - sometimes I meditate, sometimes I go into nature, most of the time it’s just moments when the beauty of the world or a person strikes me and I’m deeply grateful that I exist and I’m here and I’m now. I don’t pray. I don’t know how to. People have tried to teach me, it just doesn’t work. I do say God because it’s an easy definition, but I probably don’t mean what most people think of when they hear the word. I did kneel down in Notre Dame when I was in Paris and stayed there for a good half an hour, but I didn’t pray. I believe in reincarnation as well. I’m pretty open and like to listen to how other people view spirituality, but I won’t have a religion ever, because that destroys the purpose for me.
28. on a scale from 1 to 10, how hard is it for someone to get under your skin? Do we mean it in the “they irritate me and I get annoyed when I have to talk to them” way or is it “I can’t stop thinking about them, I really wish they’d return my feelings”-way? I have a very low-tolerance for closed minded, snobbish, hateful and ignorant people - so it’s comparatively easy to irritate me. Every time I go to a social occasion I usually find a person or two who does get under my skin.
If we want the I’m madly in love way, than in real life I never had anyone like that. I had crushes, but nothing major and I never dated anyone - because of that reason. I won’t date for dating’s sake. Now fictional characters I obsess over excessively and call them all manner of names for getting under my skin so easily. So if you’re not real it’s painfully easy. :D Real people are rarely as interesting as they should be. That said, it does happen on the friend scale - I do have both real and online friends that I think about daily and I wonder what happened to them if I don’t hear from them for a while.
You still want numbers, don’t you? (I’m not a big fan of numbers) Well, for the annoyance version it’s a 9. For the love-heart eyes it would be 5 I think. If you hit me right it’s easy, if not you probably never will get close.
