So in case anyone here follows my original writing...
I live in Australia where our wildlife is currently being decimated by horrendous bushfires. A number of amazing charities and volunteer groups are helping to rescue the animals they can, but these poor creatures are coming with severe burns and devastating injuries. One such charity is WIRES (Wildlife Information, Rescue and Education Services) and they operate in NSW, one of the worst-affected states.
Since I am too far away to be of much help, I spent last week writing a short story that ties into my original fantasy fiction series, The Elm Stone Saga, in order to raise funds for WIRES. All proceeds from the sale of this ebook go directly to animals in need - I make no profit. The story does rely on some knowledge of the series (like any good fanfiction) but if I tell you there’s an elite magical council secretly governing an underground nation of sorcerers in the modern world and the guy called Renatus is kind of like an angsty teen Kylo Ren, you’re kind of all caught up.
