Autismlink/Autilink

The following 4 flags are all alts of autilink.

Since this somehow doesnt exist, I decided to go ahead and coin it! Also, to note that I am autistic myself, with an official diagnosis.

Autismlink, or autilink, is an otherlink identity in which you voluntarily identifies as partially or fully non-human.

Autilink means that your non-human identity ties directly to your autism, or that it heavily influences it.

Autismlink is exclusive to those with autism, as it directly stem from said disability.

Edit/Note: This is NOT a transID label. This is not about identifying as autistic, but for people who already have autism.

Feel free to make your own version for other Neurodivergences if you think it fits!

Reminder: OtherLINK is a choice, unlike OtherKIN and therianthropy, which are NOT choices.

Flag meanings and Extra definitions and a personal example below the cut:

Meanings: The colors are taken directly from the autism pride flag. The infinity symbol was used to replace the two overlapped circles of the original otherlink flag. The demi circles on the top and bottom stripes are honestly just there because it looks nice.

Otherlink: A voluntarily identity as a non-human being of any kind. Could be an animal, mythical being, fictional character, plant, concept or more.

EXAMPLE: I am an alienlink, meaning that i identify as an alien. This is due to the fact I am autistic, and therefore alienated by society. I have grown up feeling like I didn't belong, like an alien lost on a planet with a specie they knew nothing about.

Autilink helps me put this identity into words. I did not choose to feel alienated, but i *did* choose to embrace it and identify as alienlink.

"Curing" Autism Bullshit

It pisses me off when people talk about trying to "cure" autism. If you take the autism out of me, then I am no longer me.

These people never consult autistic people. They just decide that they know what's best for us.

I'm learning about otherspin and otherfix which means an alterhuman identity influenced by or connected to a hyperfixation or special interest.

"a unique alterhuman experience where the individual's connection to a particular special interest shapes or influences their identity, either in an "identify with" or "identify as" manner." (link)

being autistic is the foundation of my alterhumanity and my hyperfixation/special interest in bees has created this connection even though i cannot pinpoint how voluntary or involuntary it actually is (do i want to relate to bees or make them my identity because I'm so interested in them, or am I only so interested in bees because of my identity? etc etc)

someone can be a therian and otherspin/otherfix at the same time as well. because therian is the identity on any level and doesn't require a specific reason, its only requirement is it being involuntary i believe.

i like the idea that i don't need to have a perfect label anytime soon <3
