not only should any autistic character who’s ever been infantilized by their fanbase kill and maim more people, but they should also fuck as nasty as possible too. as a treat

Sooo…
is anyone else having like, somber autistic thoughts about Muriel? Cause there’s just something so deeply relatable about this young-looking being, curious and delighted by the world around them, but constantly bewildered, overwhelmed.
Always so grateful for connection, not to be underestimated or overlooked. Knowing they’re probably being tricked or lied to, but still somehow unable to not fall for it. Just that constant sinking feeling mixed with stubborn hope.
I think the one good thing that came from this whole mess is that this friendless person kept in HORRENDOUSLY isolated circumstances with very little stimuli has found a way out, or at least a start. They are somewhere warm and homey, surrounded by books, things that are made to entertain, effect, comfort. Where people walk by every day, are in their space everyday, and they have all the freedom and ability to learn to be part of them.
I think Wednesday might be my favorite autistic character ever... but it's probably just because I spent several Halloweens as a child dressed like her and Jenna Ortega gives her own autistic vibes to this new Wednesday so it feels very natural
idk I already have so many (gay) fic ideas and I haven't actually watched it yet...

New autism meme for all your headcanon needs
There's a special kind of pain when you pick up a mystery novel because you're curious if you like that genre beyond Sherlock Holmes, and you see much of yourself in a heavily autistic coded girl character who likes to know things and hides in places around the house and reads and writes a lot, and then she's decribed as ugly and vain and unnerving, and then it turns out she is the murderer and promptly killed herself by a loving family member 'to save her from suffering'
both kids from The Mitchells vs. The Machines are autistic and you can't argue with me on that
Me: *adopts all of these characters immediately*
I think it's really interesting with Azandar's probable autistic coding that the past problems he has to face are about bad communication and emotional regulation. Especially the incident at Shad Astula where he really hurt someone's feelings and he was like I thought it was just a scholarly disagreement.
I kinda wish they'd gone into more detail about other stuff though. Like idk how much thought went into it and if his past inappropriate behaviour was supposed to be more autistic coding, but with that reading of him it makes me wish there was more exploration of what made him so frustrated in those situations. It was still really cool and interesting, it's just usually companion questlines really make me feel like I know a person, his left me with a bit more of a "hang on that can't be all I have questions" feeling. I may be putting more stock in it that I would otherwise though because I feel the autistic coding so strongly (seriously specifically saying his brain can't filter sensory things? They must've thought about it at least a bit)
