AuDHD biscuitbites. That's it that's all I have to say
Hi, feel free to ignore this, but I just wanted to let you know that at least one person out there has gone from discovering and obsessively reading your Autistic N posts, to eventually discovering she’s autistic herself, and would like to thank you very much and tell you that they are very good and meaningful to her. (That person is me,,,, thank you for making such good content about my favorite Pokémon boy, even if it was a while ago)
You're actually the 2nd person to tell me this, and it really warms my heart that people keep reaching out and letting me know. Even if I'm less active than I was, Autistic N will always be a part of this blog and I'm always thrilled when my old stuff helps people! I've met so many autistic fans through BW/2 and its wonderful how meaningful it continues to be to us despite the passage of time.
Autistic N and punk Hilda are so cute😳 Do you have any hcs for them?🥺👉🏻👈🏻
OH! Yes, them! Haven’t talked about autistic N or Hilda in a while 🥺
Hilda figures out real quick that something weird is going on with N’s “family” and how he was raised, so she tries to catch him up to speed with pop culture and food.
It’s kinda short lived because of all the plot stuff that goes down, but he now forever has a fondness for junk food like pizza and ice cream because of it
N knows a few classic rock and pop songs due to accidental encounters with songs played by grunts or his sisters, and Hilda decides to let N borrow her hot pink music player (since she has similar taste and would love to convert someone else to punk music)
N ends up accidentally keeping it until the end of the game, but he tries to return it during his farewell. She makes him keep it. “It’s too sentimental now”
Obvs Ghetsis hears a lot about Hilda from N, and as soon as N describes her as “punk” the old man starts sweating bullets.
Even though N is naive, Hilda still sees him as an older figure and he unwittingly becomes a big brother figure for her to look up to. AKA extreme rivalry but if anyone messes with him they die (time to break Ghetsis’ kneecaps)
On the other hand, N strives to be more like Hilda after he runs off, and kinda adopts her style of fashion for a while (especially post BW2). Also he imprints on every brunette kid with blue eyes now, sorry Rosa you’re his new best friend.
They meet again when they’re older (maybe like 5+ years after BW2), at this point both convinced the other is dead. N is finally able to toss out the old music player (which broke some years ago).
every time N switches from his very complicated, inspiring speak to just kind of quirky-casual “huh oh ok” and “you! yes you!” I feel very soft. it’s just so autistic, pokemon please bring back the good harmonia next time.

Hi! I just found your blog and your autistic N headcanons/posts have put fresh air into my lungs and lifted my heart. Would you mind sharing more? Thank you!
Aw thank you so much! I’ve felt crummy today but this really lifted my spirit too, so I will absolutely share more thoughts :D
At least with Pokemon, N is hyper-empathetic. He’s able to an extent to feel the pain of injured Pokemon. He was so intent on preventing their suffering that he never realized he was suffering with them as well, although this subconsciously drove his obsession. (Until he left Plasma.)
He’s less empathetic with humans because distrust and his struggle at understanding their expressions/intentions. Needless to say, he had no intention of harming people during his mission, but he cracked under pressure towards the end.
He loves his grunts, though. Anyone who is nice to him gets an A+ in his book immediately. Despite his distrust, his optimism and excitability make him pretty gullible.
Anthea and Concordia own the same bracelets as N. They gave some to him when they noticed how fascinated he was by them.
N loves shiny things and gets very attached to objects, so on his travels he buys lots of cheap souvenirs to stick on his travel bag (keychains, pins, etc.). He even buys extras just in case he sees the protag or his sisters again.
He has a strange gait and posture. Sometimes he will walk very straight and king-like when concentrating enough but most of the time he’s sorta…sideways and doesn’t know what to do with his arms.
I know I made my autistic N headcanons for fun times but sometimes I remember how obsessed N is with the ferris wheel and his castle in BW2 and how change is really horrifying for autistic people and I just,,, h. so much has changed around him so he has to cling to whatever he thinks he has left. he won’t even get new clothes... boi I die
this is a. quite old topic now I think kskskdkddk but re: “where do you draw the line for “is this trait rude or stereotypical”?” I think it’s possible/probable that N being autistic AND being raise by Pokémon can have overlapping traits/mannerisms; like he dislikes eating utensils both for ‘didn’t really grow up with them because animals don’t have them’ and ‘he really hates how the metal feels and if a fork scrapes his teeth it’s fucking over he’s done’ sensory reasons
it’s absolutely true that it can overlap. It’s like that for pretty much everything: sometimes it’s straight up hard to tell whether or not a trait or reaction has to do with autism or something else (especially if you’ve been diagnosed with several things). or a trait can do with several things, like you said. honestly, you can use stereotypical stuff without it being rude as long as you’re conscious about how it’s been used unkindly or obnoxiously.
for instance N’s whole math thing is pretty damn stereotypical but like…it’s not the focus of his character. not even remotely so. plus it’s a bit more interesting since he speaks more in terms of chemistry instead of just hee hoo math words.
