Autistic & C-PTSD Azune my beloved
So many of Cressida Cowell’s main characters are either explicitly or implicitly (read: I headcanon them as) disabled and I love that for them.
Hiccup may or may not be Literally Autistic in my headcanons (haven’t decided yet) but his experiences are very typical of autistic kids and his story resonates with me a lot.
Camicazi is so obviously ADHD to me.
Fishlegs is Disabilities Georg.
Xar has no magic in a society built on magic, which counts as a fantastical disability in my books.
Wish is canonically dyslexic and also uses an eyepatch
Bodkin has some form of narcolepsy that only shows up in extreme danger.
K2 wears glasses and has amblyopia which he is working to correct.
Jane's very obviously autistic behaviour not being common knowledge bothers me. what do you mean. some people really go about their day, convinced that girl is allistic. okay so that's wrong
In a margin of 51.9% to 48.1% our winner of
Best C-PTSD Character

Thanks everybody ✌️
Follow up about my post about Dipper chewing on everything bc I thought this was funny.
Ford walking out of the basement (because that's just his bedroom now tbh.) one day and Stan's practically begging him to get the pen out of his mouth, not because he doesn't want the kids stimming, but because he does NOT wanna buy another 15 pack of pens since Dipper keeps autistically chewing them and breaking them. (Stan's had to buy 3 packs in the last 3 fucking weeks.)
Anyway, Ford is very confused about this predicament as one would expect and assures Stan that it isn't that bad and he should just let him do it.
Until the pen Dipper's chewing on explodes and gets ink everywhere (including Dipper's mouth) right in front of his face. It is, in fact, that bad.
