The Golden Ward was fun! There was a lot that could be said for all its different locales, but in general she found that she liked the activity and high energy that the vast majority of it seemed to have so far. Even Crimson Lane had its draws, despite the fact that the majority of its businesses weren’t exactly... relevant to her. Still, she found it interesting to just stand on the side of the street and watch the various goings-on, even making a bit of a game of seeing how far fights ended up going... and, after a bit, seeing if she could catch on to anyone or anything around that might play some part in how quickly they tended to disperse.
Actually, she’d been standing across the street from this guy for a while now... well, she’d noticed earlier, but now that she was thinking about it, he was kind of conspicuous in an inconspicuous sort of way. That is, he stood out in being pretty plain for the area, not really as immediately suspicious as the other people around. Plus, he hadn’t really moved around much more than she had so far... so, he was probably observing everything too.
Was it the same sort of situation as her, then? Or was it more of a ‘from morning to night, we will keep our watch on you’ sort of thing?
... she’d never really gotten to do a cover of that one or anything, but it was pretty catchy for what it was. Anyway, it couldn’t hurt to approach! Actually it probably could, but she didn’t really care, so she was going to anyway! She crossed the street with no small amount of confidence and didn’t stop in front of him, but instead moved to stand beside him and kept her attention on the street for a little bit longer.
“... you seem a little out of place for someone so plain, huh? You’ve just been standing here for a while, after all.” She looked over as she said it and tilted her head away slightly.
Wait, maybe that wasn’t the best thing to say, actually... but, too late now.
