As part of the 35th anniversary celebration of Sesamstraat, a painting based on Van Gogh's "The Bedroom," also known as "Bedroom in Arles," was on display at the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam.

The painting featured Elmo, Bert, Ernie, Tommie, Pino, Purk, and Ieniemienie.

beste landgenoten, waarom noemen sommige van jullie ze "Bert en Urnie"? "Urnie"?

in de show zelf spreekt iedereen het gewoon uit als Ernie...

in de amerikaanse versie spreken ze het uit als "Burt and Urnie" maar ik heb nog nooit iemand ook Bert op zn' engels horen uitspreken.

is "Urnie" een meer voorkomende uitspraak voor de naam Ernie? Is Ernie niet logischer als een bijnaam voor Ernst? (denk Ernst en Bobbie)

Ik ben zo verward.... Urnie uitsprekers, vertel me waarom!
