Just finished drawing Ed's Automail! Took me just over 15 hours. ♥️
Hi guys. I keep trying to force myself to use my sketchbook in my depression. So I doodled me my favorite boy and some automail. Have another Edward. The world always needs more Edward.
I just like drawing Ed’s arm.
The Work in Progress of my Automail
It was 3D printed by Omega Forge, and the Leg was custom patterned by him as well. The Arm was altered and re-scaled many many times to get it to fit me correctly. We printed my fingers 5 or 6 times to find the right fit.
All the sanding, priming, painting, sealing - finishing was done by me.
The leg was finished by me in the same way as the arm. The toes are fabric, I self patterned and made a toe sock. The leg is made out of Foam, Worbla and Sintra excluding the front grill which was 3D printed.
More pictures after con this weekend!
It's amazing the difference 2 years can make! The arm on the left is the first one I ever made for my Edward Elric cosplay and the one on the right is the new one I just made for my next con! So happy with the improvement!!
Another meme I made in honor of Fullmetal Alchemist during the Straight Outta Compton promotion.
"Ya know there's an old myth about a hero who flew on wings made of wax. He thought he could touch the sun but when he got too close his wings melted and he came crashing back down to Earth."

Oh btw I have a prop automail arm that doesn't fit me so I wanna get rid of it but here's the problem I have: I did not make it (I got it commissioned) and I no longer use the social platform I bought it from so I can't credit the artist because I don't remember who made it...
But uh yeah I was trying to start an Edward Elric cosplay and the arm is too big for me to be able to move in. I originally paid $150 total for the commission but I'd take $100 for it...
It has a shoulder piece, the forearm (which velcros open), articulated fingers, and a black arm sock. These are the best pictures I have because I didn't take any when I tried it on :/ Idk the measurements offhand but that is info I will include for the buyer.
My dms and askbox are both open if you're interested in buying this (but dms might be easier)
I have the upper arm piece finally put together, just have to sand and paint
