Introducing the first three bots!

M1: A well rounded humanoid model. Can employ various tools and equipment. Likes flowers.

Ballbot: Prepare to bounce and roll into battle! Uses powerful charged attacks and rebounds. Known to some as Friendsphere.

Cone: A safety specialist model. Can traverse walls and ceilings with ease. Nervous.

We are proud to finally announce our current project; Automaton Arena! Quirky computerized combatants clash! Battle as one of three (with more to come) bots, each possessing unique abilities and attacks to help dominate the arena!

Automaton Arena is a side-scrolling game focused on pvp arena battles, that features deep bot part and stats customization. Each bot supports multiple play-styles depending on the build you choose! 

The game currently supports networked multiplayer with 4 players, as well as local and networked AI players! (Local multiplayer could be incorporated if there is interest!)

Not interested in pvp? Single player content is in development, including interesting non-combat scenarios!

At launch Automaton Arena will support Windows, OSX, and Linux!

So what's up with those stats? (An overview)

Each bot has these five attributes that influence their abilities. Attack, defense, speed, and jump are pretty straight forward and do what you'd expect them to, but they can also have additional effects on how each bots behaves. (More on that in the future!)

Leveling the special stat powers up each bots' unique abilities, like giving Ballbot stronger attack charges that bring more bounces!

Oh, and you might have noticed attack and defense are greyed out in this pic (good on you!) If you set a stat to 0 it is offline. While this does heavily penalize that attribute, it also significantly raises that bot's possible max level, letting you put points elsewhere!

Update Time: Ballbot Edition! (With Videos!)

Ballbot manages big jumps by compressing then expanding!

To attack, they rev up rotational energy! The more the better!

Ballbot bounces off surfaces and enemies during their attacks! Choose between 8 directions to aim your attack! Bigger charges get more bounces!

Ballbot can bounce off at angles or follow surfaces like this!

While charged up, Ballbot rolls around at increased speeds! Jumps can be used to alter attack direction!

Reverse your momentum to surprise other players!

The Ballbot shown is level 33 (of 100), so they have lots of room for their abilities to improve!
